During family photo sessions, I always try to capture posed formal photos, especially when it is a momentous gathering of family across generations. I also aim to capture candids, as those are where you see the real family show up in the photographs. Those are the memories you should seek to preserve.

I no longer offer film photography services (although I may consider doing that for some limited sessions at some point in the future as it has become trendy again). I use the latest Canon digital full-frame mirrorless camera bodies.

Yes! You will receive a print release that will allow you to print and share your portraits for your own personal, non-commercial use, anywhere at anytime, and at no additional cost.

You can optionally choose to have me fulfill some or all of the printing at our high-quality professional print lab, and that can be easily done through the online gallery.

You will receive the full, high-resolution digital photos. The specific resolution will depend on which camera I use and how much cropping is done when editing. All photos will be suitable even for very large prints.

Yes. I personally edit every photo that you will receive. It is very time-consuming to do it right, but it really is the difference between a good photo and a great photo.

For portraits, I always do some very subtle skin cleanup, eye brightening, and whatever else I think the photo needs to make it shine. I will also edit out small stains from clothing. Beyond that, it can be done, but can be very time-consuming and may require additional hourly fees if this is something you want.

To a limited degree. For portraits, I do have some preferred locations throughout the state and in south-eastern Massachusetts. For locations that are further away or require additional preparation or costs, there may be additional charges for travel included as part of your portrait quote.

For portrait sessions, I will generally estimate a maximum of 6–8 weeks to allow for plenty of time for editing and unexpected delays, but generally they will be ready much sooner than that (typically under 3 weeks).

This is the portrait package that will work best for most clients. Up to 1 hour of photography time at 1 location of your choosing for up to 5 people. You can expect to receive up to 20 professionally edited digital photos.

This portrait package includes a photo session that lasts for up to 2 hours and at up to 3 locations. You may have up to 8 people in this session, and you can expect to receive up to 50 professionally edited digital photos.
