The Coachmen’s Lodge, in Bellingham, is one of those places that all the locals know about (it’s been around for half a century now), but for everyone else it’s a bit of a hidden gem. Most of us know it as an amazing restaurant with fantastic food, including seasonal menus, but the Coachmen’s Lodge is also the idea place to host your wedding ceremony and reception! This is why it was awarded WeddingWire’s Couples’ Choice awards for seven years in a row!
Beautiful Wedding Landscaping
Coachmen’s Lodge has always had amazing landscaping, with lush greens and flowers surrounding a tranquil lake. This was true when Normal and Michele Decelles owned it, and it has been improved upon in recent years by the Nicolo family who bought it back in 2014. They’ve truly made some stunning-looking changes to the property, and one can’t help but to look around and admire it on every visit.
INSIDE OR OUTSIDE Weddings
Coachmen’s has a lovely rustic-inspired interior (we will get to that in a moment), but they are also very well-known for the quality of the outside patio. In the last decade, they have spent a lot of money renovating and have turned it into a world-class experience. One of the focal points is this amazing outdoor covered bar area, perfect for your wedding guests on a sunny day!
With the recent renovations to the property, it now looks even more beautiful with extensive landscaping, stonework, and more contributing to a truly elegant and wonderful visual experience that will please you and your wedding guests.
Bridal Suite
It may look small from the outside, but there is plenty of room. A bridal suite is available to prepare for your wedding day.
Several rooms are available and all with easy access, making getting ready a breeze!
Coachmen’s Lodge Wedding Ceremony
Everyone loves a beautiful outdoor wedding ceremony, and Coachmen’s does not disappoint. There are lots of outdoor structures that are great for photos, and they have a dedicated area for wedding ceremonies. It’s also easily accessible for any guests who may have mobility issues.
Coachmen’s Lodge Wedding Venue Interior Details
Have your wedding reception in their Four Seasons Room. This spacious room features plenty of natural light from the floor-to-ceiling windows that surround you. You can feel like you are outside while still enjoying the comfort of eating indoors. It really is one of my favorite rooms for weddings. They also frequently do holiday events in this room, and you should really try to get there for some of their yummy meals!
They can accommodate you and up to 200 guests. Additional rooms are also available, including the Wheelock Room, which features elegant chandeliers and even a romantic fireplace!
Wedding packages include floor length linens, colored napkins, and mahogany chairs, and upgraded linens and napkins are also available. Meals can be plated or buffet style, and they have lots of delicious options to choose from.
Beautiful Wedding Photos
I’m probably sounding a bit repetitive, but this place is just jaw-droppingly beautiful. There are some many good spots for wedding portraits, formals, and everything in-between. If you want great landscaping, they have it.

Wedding Reception Fun!
The dance floor at Coachmen’s Lodge isn’t huge, but it’s not about the size, right? Get those friends and family out there dancing and having a good time enjoying your wedding while gazing through the windows at one of the nicest-looking wedding venue landscapes around!
As a wedding photographer, I absolutely adore this venue. It’s charming, beautiful light, and just all around awesome. Local celebrity Noel Pincince is often found here talking with guests (and he officiated my own wedding!)
