The Beavertail Lighthouse
Our day began in Middletown with the girls getting ready, and then we all took a trolley to Jamestown to the Beavertail Lighthouse. Beavertail Lighthouse in Jamestown, Rhode Island offers one of the most dramatic and emotionally powerful settings for a wedding day first look. Perched on rugged coastal cliffs with sweeping views of the Atlantic and Narragansett Bay, the location combines raw natural beauty, open skies, and crashing waves to create a moment that feels both intimate and cinematic.
The expansive landscape provides privacy, space, and stunning visual depth, allowing couples to experience their first look in a setting that feels timeless, meaningful, and uniquely Rhode Island.
An Outdoor Wedding Ceremony Overlooking the Water
The Lawn offers a formal, scenic setting overlooking Narragansett Bay, with expansive water views, manicured grass, and a classic New England coastal atmosphere. The space is large enough to comfortably accommodate full guest counts while still feeling intimate and refined. Its open layout allows for flexible ceremony configurations, clean sightlines, and excellent natural light throughout the day.
A few Wedding Photos After the Ceremony
We did a few formal photos near the ceremony site before going to the deck at the club for the larger groups. Eventually it was just me with Caroline and Jim for more photos of the two of them, including playing the custom decorated game she had made! Caroline is quite the artist, as you will soon see 🙂
Officers’ Club Reception
This large space can feel very empty, but not on this night. As I had mentioned, Caroline is an artist, and she made sure that this venue was decorated to the maximum! Everything was custom, from the artsy wood-cut flowers, to the memorial collages, to the postal desk for writing letters. Truly beautiful to see in person!
Dancing Away the Night in Newport!
Everyone loves a good, high-energy dance floor, and Caroline and Jim’s guests made sure that this dance floor saw lots of action! At the end of the evening, we went out for some photos of with the sun set behind the Newport Bridge. The perfect way to end a magical night!
